Still Life With Balls

.
.
.
.
John Gibson's oeuvre is unexpected and tends to bring a smile to one's face. He takes these simple objects (decorated balls) and gives us classical/whimsical still lifes.
This example is from the Jill Newhouse Gallery.
You'll find more images of his watercolor on paper or oil on canvases at the Miller Block gallery.

Illustrative Pointillism

.
.

.
Local  (Corning, NY) artist William M. Boland creates bright, colorful works using a style that might be described as pointillism-lite. You'll enjoy the different galleries of his work when you visit his Website.

Monolithic Calligraphy

.
.
.
.
The calligraphic paintings of Ahmad Moualla take that genre to a whole different level. Arttattler has more images and a nice, concise bio that explains what's going on here.
For lots of images of different facets of his oeuvre, but no usefull English information, you can visit his Website.

New Reductive Pointillism

.
.

.
.
It's easy to enjoy and appreciate Susanne Schossig's work from any distance, but a closer look reveals the beautiful inner construction. Even though you'll find nice size images of her interesting and varied oeuvre on her Website, they still don't reveal the intricate brush strokes that make these reductive compositions sing.

Both images are from ArtBusiness, where you'll find helpful Articles and you'll enjoy their picture-posts of San Francisco Gallery Openings.

Beautiful Pastel Chaos

.
.

.
.
This small image of Richard Howe's work, from Kentler Gallery, doesn't begin to convey the beauty and the almost musical tonality of his oeuvre. His Artist Statement there is a bit of a put-off, but you can go HERE for the in-depth and interesting story of how and why these drawings came to be. There are six links to galleries of his work, on that same page.

Connecting The Dots

.
.
.
.
Nancy Berlin's oeuvre is about thought process and I'd be interested to know if the square dots mark the intersections of line or whether the lines join the marks together and does she talk out loud during the process . .  .
.
This image is from, and she's represented by Kathryn Markel Fine Arts.
